the hotel rooms here are quite large by european standards. the bathroom was also large and well appointed. overall, a very good hotel with a decent breakfast buffet. only downside is the location. it's on the southeast side of the termini (train station) so it's about a 10 minute walk to get there. just ask the front desk about the 492 bus because that will drop you off less than a block from the hotel all the way to the vatican.
Perfecto parejas.
I liked the hotel. The first night we had a room with balcony, however the airconditioning was broken so we asked for another room. This room was also large and very nicely decorated. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from Termini station in a local area. The area around the station is not the best area of the city. But we never felt unsave. Breakfast was fine, rooms are very clean and nice. Rome was fantastic but somewhat inconvenient to get around to the main tourist sites in Rome from the hotel. If you need to go back to the hotel during the day I would not recommend it to you. But if you only need the hotel to sleep. It's a good hotel.
I woulld like to thank you from Hotel Staff who helped us to go to hospital, then called a private doctor to come to our room to visit my wife who was very sick. Also I would like to thank you Hotel Staff who took me to pharmacy to buy medicine, thank you very much.
It was happy to stay at the hotel "Ateneo Garden Palace". The hotel was not so far from Termini station(mother and I used to go there by walk within 5-10 min) and by #492 bus we could reach the city center easily. The room was quiet and clean. The bathroom was also clean and luxurious. My mother and I were satisfied with the breakfast. Staffs were exellent but they had little information of public transfortion and seldom smiled. Anyway thank you, venere.com, without you I couldn't have finished my travel happy (I reseved "Ateneo Garden Palace" through your site in the morning of the day when my mother and I had been out of another hotel in Rome )
Third time in Rome. This is by far the best hotel. Big and comfortable rooms, lovely courtyard , great terrace where to have breakfast, lovely and helpful staff. And the owner Ms. Anna ... such a lovely, charming and full of attention lady If you want to feel at home in Rome this is the place to stay Richard
Hotel is very charming and welcoming. Location is fantastic for S Lorenzo nightlife and Stazione Termini. Very quiet and peaceful a real gem in such a chaotic and noisy city. Rooms were private and clean. Highly recommended.
I stayed here for business so did not spend too long enjoying the garden or the lounge but it all looked very comfortable and attractive. the room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. I would come back on a weekend break if I had the chance. The restaurants around the hotel are very authentic and reasonably priced.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying with you at Hotel Ateneo Garden Palace. In fact, we stayed twice: at the beginning of our vacation in Italy and for the last two days of our visit, before returning to the USA. This was our first trip to Italy, and you helped make it one we will never forget. The room was just great, very roomy and comfortable. The staff at reception were unfailingly pleasant, helpful, and very efficient. The breakfasts were excellent, especially the cappuccini! Overall, we are very grateful for everything. Thank you so much! We hope to see you again one day.
We stayed in this little hotel for three days prior to a 12 night Eastern Mediterranean Cruise. It was a lovely hotel in a quiet Rome neighborhood. Walking distance to Termini Station, and not a bad walk to historic sites in Central Historic District. Close to ancient Rome city wall. It had lovely rooms, very nice bathrooms. Many rooms overlook central court, and have balconies with tables and chairs. There is free internet service and a computer to use in a nice large parlor/sitting room. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was served each morning in a very nice dining room, and was excellent. Our stay here was pleasant and comfortable, we'll choose to stay there again, and will tell others about it. We ate in a very nice restaurant directly across the street, the food and service was excellent. The Price of the Hotel was also quite reasonable at 151.00 euros a night double occupancy.
I seem to collect quiet hotels and this is one - its fundamental to know that after a hard day touristing or conferencing then you'll get a good nights sleep. This hotel is close to the station - 10 minute walk - and was perfect for the Conference I had to attend last week. Price 130 euros for a queen size bed.Found staff were alert and quick to please - not always easy to find in Italy I must say. Internal garden looked very pleasant for a drink, chat or email session. I was only there briefly but the WIFI worked fine and the breakfast room is a cheery glassed area on the 4th floor - not much of a view - it looks over private flats and houses. There were a couple of homeless in the park out the front but really harmless. For tourism you will need to use public transport to get to sites
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is an early 20th century liberty style building. The reception staff spoke good English and were helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. We slept well because the hotel was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The free Wi-Fi internet access worked well. The continental breakfast buffet is served on the fourth floor terrace with good views of the garden. You can buy a drink at the bar and enjoy it in the lounge or out in the garden. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant serving dinner so we ate in the centre of Rome or in the suburb where the hotel is located. Some Americans told us that 4 star hotels in Italy are equivalent to 3 star hotels in the U.S. The outdoor garden was nice.We enjoyed our stay at this hotel
My wife and I stayed for two nights in Room 310 at the Ateneo Garden Palace Hotel with Trafalgar Tours. It is located about 20 minutes walk from Termini train station. The room and bathroom exceeded our expectations because they were reasonably large (see photo), it appeared to be freshly renovated, and it overlooked the garden, so it was quiet and comfortable. We spoke with a couple who had a room across the hall who were not happy with the street noise. Air conditioning was available, but we preferred to leave the window open. We appreciated the availability of many electric outlets around the room because we often were charging two computers, a hand phone, and a digital camera all at once. We especially appreciated the free wireless Internet access in the lobby. The refrigerator in the room kept things cold, but they did not have a freezer in the hotel for our ice pack. So they kept the ice pack in ice and gave it to us on our departure. The few channels on the TV were all Italian language channels. The breakfast included cereal, ham, cheese, and yoghurt. There is a small neighborhood about a 5 minute walk away with a supermarket, a gelato store, and many restaurants. There is also a good pizza restaurant across the street. We have to estimate the value based on the TripAdvisor price because we don’t know how much the tour paid for our room. We were impressed with the facilities and with the service
Hotel very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful. Good selection of food.
Hotel is not in the center of the city just outside the wall but near the station. this is the second time I stayed in Rome. the hotel provides good breakfast. And the room location is very quite. room is big. good value/price ratio.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as part of a Trafalgar tour. Our room was on the ground floor so had french doors out to a very private patio - nice to sit out in the evening. The room itself was very comfortable, clean and with a full bathroom with tub. Others were not so lucky having only a very small shower. The breakfast was the usual variety of pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc which is more than enough for me. The staff were very friendly even if they didn't all know alot of english - they had our keys out and ready for us before we even asked! There was only one computer set up with internet in the lobby but at least it worked - in other hotels we weren't so lucky. The hotel itself was conveniently located near the Termini train station where one could get on the Metro or catch a bus to almost anywhere in the city. There were also restaurants and grocery/wine stores handy. All in all we enjoyed our stay - this hotel had everything we needed.
I & a friend stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights in September following a Trafalgar tour . The hotel staff are extremely polite, & willing to help eg happily printed out our boarding passes. Free Wi Fi & available hotel computer a bonus .Rooms are clean, reasonably spacious for Rome , we had a ground floor room with access to the lovely courtyard .Breakfast served on the roof garden area was moer than adequate plus great eating area .Easy taxi ride into the centre of Rome { did not use station } Area surrounding Hotel run down , but this is not reflected in the Hotel . Magic litte cafe /bistro turn rt outside Hotel door walk round the corner & situated next to fruit shop .Asked if we could order food to take away because of feeling unwell from a heavy cold !! no problem anything on the menu can be taken away . One part of the order we were told would take 10mins to cook vegetable dish , returned in 10mins not ready waiter apologised ++ , & then brought out 2 glasses of champagne for us to drink whilst waiting !!! , bill came to 20 Euros for fresh beautiful food & two Italian beers , cannot ever imagine treatment like this in Australia ,would be lucky with an apology . ! Hotel happy for take away food to be eaten in the courtyard garden . Happily stay in this Hotel again .
Easy access to bus lines and metro once you figure out routes. I had booked a triple for me, my wife, mother, and 5 year old twins thinking we could make it work. Hotel wasn't too thrilled about that when we first checked in as apparently that is not how it works in Rome, but hotel ultimately accomodated us and brought an extra bed to the room to make us more comfortable. Decent buffet breakfast. For a family on a budget I would recommend this hotel.
