Good, nice and clean hotel. The rooms where always clean. Breakfast was good, but could better for a 4 stars hotel. Good hotel for his price.
Bel bagno e pulizia perfetta
I have stayed at this hotel many times, it was found by my daughter who lives nearby. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and have always been very accommodating to me. There are lots of good restaurants in the area, great beautican oppposite and it is a convenient, quiet base. It is also really good to come to a hotel that does not feel like a chain, where the staff are the same and recognise you when you come back.
Ottimo rapporto qualitΰ/prezzo. La colazione θ lacunosa per un quattro stelle. Per il resto ottimo senza dubbio.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as part of a Trafalgar tour. Our room was on the ground floor so had french doors out to a very private patio - nice to sit out in the evening. The room itself was very comfortable, clean and with a full bathroom with tub. Others were not so lucky having only a very small shower. The breakfast was the usual variety of pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc which is more than enough for me. The staff were very friendly even if they didn't all know alot of english - they had our keys out and ready for us before we even asked! There was only one computer set up with internet in the lobby but at least it worked - in other hotels we weren't so lucky. The hotel itself was conveniently located near the Termini train station where one could get on the Metro or catch a bus to almost anywhere in the city. There were also restaurants and grocery/wine stores handy. All in all we enjoyed our stay - this hotel had everything we needed.
Lovely hotel. Helpful staff. Excellent location. Good food. Recommend this hotel to anyone
I liked the hotel. The first night we had a room with balcony, however the airconditioning was broken so we asked for another room. This room was also large and very nicely decorated. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from Termini station in a local area. The area around the station is not the best area of the city. But we never felt unsave. Breakfast was fine, rooms are very clean and nice. Rome was fantastic but somewhat inconvenient to get around to the main tourist sites in Rome from the hotel. If you need to go back to the hotel during the day I would not recommend it to you. But if you only need the hotel to sleep. It's a good hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is an early 20th century liberty style building. The reception staff spoke good English and were helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. We slept well because the hotel was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The free Wi-Fi internet access worked well. The continental breakfast buffet is served on the fourth floor terrace with good views of the garden. You can buy a drink at the bar and enjoy it in the lounge or out in the garden. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant serving dinner so we ate in the centre of Rome or in the suburb where the hotel is located. Some Americans told us that 4 star hotels in Italy are equivalent to 3 star hotels in the U.S. The outdoor garden was nice.We enjoyed our stay at this hotel
the hotel rooms here are quite large by european standards. the bathroom was also large and well appointed. overall, a very good hotel with a decent breakfast buffet. only downside is the location. it's on the southeast side of the termini (train station) so it's about a 10 minute walk to get there. just ask the front desk about the 492 bus because that will drop you off less than a block from the hotel all the way to the vatican.
Liked very much the Hotel Ateneo Garden Palace. We enjoyed very much the private terrace to the interior garden with jasmine veranda. The personnel is professional and kind. About the location, it is correct enough with a bus stop nearby and about 15 minutes walk to Termini station. Many restaurants and terrace cafΓ©s around. Only the breakfast is a little poor, but it is compensated by the other mentioned good qualitites.
Ok, so back in Rome again! And this time we got it right! Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and what a little gem we found! And finally a room where we both fit in together. We even had a little private pateo where we sat one of the evenings. This hotel has it all as far as I am concerned. Location; walking distance from the central station and easy to get to all the main attractions and shops. It is in a quiet street so no noice at night. Very friendly staff that helped us a lot when we had to spend the first two days trying to get my suitcase back from Airfrance! Breakfast: better than most ones I had in Italy. We really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed for four nights to attend a Conference nearby. For us then the location was perfect, just a few minutes walk. For sightseeing, we found it great once we had found the shortcut through the tunnel under the Termini main station. We booked the hotel partly as it was the chosen one for conference delegates, and also because not knowing Rome it seemed reasonably priced and in the right area for our convenience We found the hotel comfortable, if basic. Our double room was 150 euros (with a conference discount). It was small but perfectly adequate. We were delighted to find a private foliage covered balcony through the double French windows, complete with table and two chairs, overlooking a small, tree covered private square. Furnishings were adequate and included a mini fridge. (We already knew via this site that there were no tea and coffee making facilities, so our trusty travel kettle came into its own, and the fridge kept milk etc chilled.) The room was clean and cleaned during our stay. The bed was, fortunately, very comfortable. I was able to access the wi-fi, and also the staff assisted me to use (foc) the downstairs public computers to check in online and print off our boarding cards. (always good that is!) The front desk staff when I arrived spoke very little English, but we managed between us, and they appreciated our trying to speak Italian, even if only the basic civilities. Continental Breakfast is served in a fourth floor conservatory type room, with trees and plants abounding, which we found very fresh and pleasant in the mornings. We were particularly impressed by the quietness of the area, and slept soundly, some colleagues staying in cheaper facilities had much noisier experiences. The Hotel doesnt have its own restaurant but there are several small family owned trattorias within 5 minutes walk, where we had delightful meals, with plentiful local wine, and very cheap bills.
My wife and I stayed for two nights in Room 310 at the Ateneo Garden Palace Hotel with Trafalgar Tours. It is located about 20 minutes walk from Termini train station. The room and bathroom exceeded our expectations because they were reasonably large (see photo), it appeared to be freshly renovated, and it overlooked the garden, so it was quiet and comfortable. We spoke with a couple who had a room across the hall who were not happy with the street noise. Air conditioning was available, but we preferred to leave the window open. We appreciated the availability of many electric outlets around the room because we often were charging two computers, a hand phone, and a digital camera all at once. We especially appreciated the free wireless Internet access in the lobby. The refrigerator in the room kept things cold, but they did not have a freezer in the hotel for our ice pack. So they kept the ice pack in ice and gave it to us on our departure. The few channels on the TV were all Italian language channels. The breakfast included cereal, ham, cheese, and yoghurt. There is a small neighborhood about a 5 minute walk away with a supermarket, a gelato store, and many restaurants. There is also a good pizza restaurant across the street. We have to estimate the value based on the TripAdvisor price because we dont know how much the tour paid for our room. We were impressed with the facilities and with the service
Wonderful breakfast location in a garden on the top of the hotel, lot of light view on the city: nice way to wake up!!! Really comfortable hotel, near the train station.
pleasant roof garden surrounded by jasmine, comfortable room, bathroom ok, friendly staff, good breakfast, quiet neighborhood, excellent restaurant across the street (Efeso), parking is not always easy to find
Het hotel is erg schoon en netjes. Ruime kamers met goede bedden. Ontbijtbuffet was erg goed, heerlijke koffie.
My husband was attending a conference at the University Sapienza for a few days. I was on my own to tour the city. The desk help was very knowledgeable with directions and recommendations. The breakfast area was lovely but the variety of choices was not plentiful. Again, the service personnel were helpful. The neighborhood was convenient to the University but not to tourist areas. This was ok. I took a lot of buses. The TV only offered News in English. There was WiFi, but worked only 50% of the time.
Bautiful accommodation for me and my friends. Five minutes' walk from Termini station. Good rooms, polite staff and absolutely recommend.
I spent a week-end in Rome with my partner and I had the pleasure to stay in such a cosy hotel. Our room (312) was very big with a window overlooking a quiet and beauiful courtyard. Staff was extremly helpful and in particular I would like to thank Valentina who went over her way to help with all the requests we had. Hotel has not restuarant but there are plenty around so you should not be worried for that Very well connected with public transportation. Rich breakfast served on a beautiful roof garden Mike
Hotel is not in the center of the city just outside the wall but near the station. this is the second time I stayed in Rome. the hotel provides good breakfast. And the room location is very quite. room is big. good value/price ratio.
This hotel was fine for a two-night stay at the beginning of our tour. My single room was clean and comfortable. People complaining about bedbugs should be aware that all over Italy, there are small red ants that live inside travertine. If you sit on walls made of this, you will bring the ants back with you, and they will bite! There is graffiti all over Rome, it is not gang-related but political, so no need to be afraid. There is no restaurant at the hotel apart from the buffet breakfast, but there are a few within walking distance.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying with you at Hotel Ateneo Garden Palace. In fact, we stayed twice: at the beginning of our vacation in Italy and for the last two days of our visit, before returning to the USA. This was our first trip to Italy, and you helped make it one we will never forget. The room was just great, very roomy and comfortable. The staff at reception were unfailingly pleasant, helpful, and very efficient. The breakfasts were excellent, especially the cappuccini! Overall, we are very grateful for everything. Thank you so much! We hope to see you again one day.

Wow! What a place! We had been looking forward to the Rome part of our tour so much and this hotel did not let us down. Good location, friendly staff, big rooms and even a garden space to enjoy a drink in the evening. The breakfast is served on the top floor terrace, from where you have a great view. I would be more then happy to come back to this hotel again!
